Gary Regan

British-born bartender and writer who started behind his parents' pub bars at fourteen and emigrated to New York in 1973. The Bartender's Bible (1991) and The Joy of Mixology (2003) helped start the cocktail revival, and Regan's Orange Bitters No. 6 put back on the shelf an ingredient the classics kept asking for. He did not invent the Rosita; he found it in a Mr. Boston guide and reworked it into the drink bars pour.
