Irish Coffee

Ingredients
- 5clIrish whiskey
- 12clFilter coffee
- 5mlDemerara sugar
- 5clHeavy cream

- Coffee beans
- Serve in
- Toddy glass
- Ice
- No ice
Instructions
- Pour hot black coffee into a preheated glass.
- Add the whiskey and the sugar and stir until dissolved.
- Pour cold thick cream over the back of a spoon held just above the surface.
- Garnish with coffee beans. Or alternatively chocolate shavings or grated nutmeg.
- The cream floats. Drink the coffee through it; do not stir.
About 27 cl at 7%, equivalent to 5 cl of 40% spirit
