Ingredients
- 6clAged Jamaican rum
The 1944 bottle is long gone - a pungent pot-still Jamaican of eight years or more comes closest.
- 2clCuraçao
- 3clLime juice
- 2clOrgeat
- Method
- Shake
- Garnish
- Mint sprig, Lime half
- Serve in
- Rocks glass
- Ice
- Crushed ice
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Add crushed ice and a few ice cubes and shake well.
- Whack the rim of the glass with a sprig of mint to release some oils.
- Pour the drink, ice and all, into the glass.
- Top up the glass with crushed ice.
- Garnish with a juiced lime half dome-up and stand a mint sprig beside it - a little tropical island with its palm tree.
About 19.5 cl at 17%, equivalent to 8.5 cl of 40% spirit
