Shake
Combined with ice in a sealed shaker and then strained off it. It chills, dilutes and aerates harder than any other method, and it is the only one that emulsifies - so it is what citrus, egg, cream and fruit juice ask for, and what leaves a sour its brief pale head. A dry shake beforehand is preparation; the drink is still shaken.
